Get involved
Work+Play Hub is a community, not just a space. Whether you volunteer, donate, spread the word, or show up — every form of involvement matters.
Ways to get involved
You don't have to be a parent to believe in what we're building. If the mission resonates — there is something you can do.
We need people with skills in everything from communications and fundraising to admin, events, and community outreach. A few hours a month can make a real difference.
Express interest →Do you know a parent who is struggling to hold their professional life together? Share this page. That is one of the most valuable things you can do right now.
Share Work+Play Hub →We offer Foundational Apprenticeships in business admin, developed in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council. We also can host you if you are a student working in Early Years.
Find out more →Are you a service provider, social enterprise, or professional who could support our members? We are always open to on-site partnerships that genuinely serve our community.
Get in touch →71% of our pilot attendance was free or subsidised. We are committed to never turning anyone away for financial reasons. Your donation funds that commitment directly.

We are a small team doing a lot. If you have expertise you're willing to share — even for a few hours a month — you can have a real impact on what we're able to build.
We particularly need support with communications, grant writing, event coordination, digital, legal, and finance. But we're open to a conversation about what you bring.

Donate
No one should be turned away because they can't afford it. Your donation goes directly into our Inclusion Fund — subsidising sessions for parents who need us most.
Every pound raised stays in Edinburgh, in the community, doing exactly what it says.
Covers one full session for a parent who couldn't otherwise afford to come — desk space, crèche, WiFi, and a hot drink.
Gives a parent and child five sessions — enough to rebuild a working rhythm, reconnect with their professional identity, and start moving forward.
Two weeks of regular access for one parent and one child. In that time, we have seen people land clients, secure interviews, and remember who they are.
