71% of our pilot attendance was free or subsidised. We are committed to never turning anyone away for financial reasons. Your donation makes that promise possible.
Why it matters
She came back three times during the pilot week. The third time, she brought her husband.
She was exhausted. Not the tiredness of a bad night but the deeper, structural exhaustion of a woman holding everything at once. Her career, her child, her household, her sense of self. Her child has additional needs, which meant her load was heavier than most, and her need for a space that was calm and genuinely flexible was not a preference. It was a necessity.
"She did not bring her husband to show him a coworking space. She brought him to show him a solution. Look at this. Look at what exists. Look at what becomes possible."
She was able to work without guilt because her son was right there, cared for, calm, and thriving. She could see him. She could step away if she needed to. And then she could come back to her work.
That moment is the whole point of Work+Play Hub. Not the pilot data. Not the funding application. Not the pitch deck. A mother standing in a room, turning to her husband, and saying: this is the answer.
Desk space, crèche, WiFi, and a hot drink — everything a working parent needs for a productive time, for a parent who couldn't otherwise come.
Five sessions. Enough to rebuild a working rhythm, reconnect with professional identity, and start moving forward again.
In this time, we have seen parents land clients, secure job interviews, and remember who they are. Your donation makes that possible.
The kind of sustained support that creates real change — not just a one-off session, but a genuine route back into professional life.
Every pound goes into our Inclusion Fund, subsidising sessions for parents who need us most. We are a registered Scottish charity — your donation may be eligible for Gift Aid.
Not sure how much to give? £50 is our most popular donation and funds five sessions for a parent in need.

A one-off donation makes a real difference. A monthly gift makes a sustained one. Regular donors give us the predictability to plan ahead — to hire practitioners, to keep sessions running, to serve more parents.
You can cancel at any time. There's no minimum commitment. Just a monthly contribution that means someone always has somewhere to go.

Tell someone who needs this. Share this page on social media. Every person who hears about Work+Play Hub is a potential member, donor, or partner.
We need people with expertise in communications, grant writing, finance, legal, and more. A few hours a month can make a real difference.
Does your employer offer charitable giving, matched donations, or community partnerships? We'd love to hear from them.
If you've visited the hub, a Google review or a post on social media helps more parents find us — and costs you nothing.
